Wedding Invitations | Do’s & Don’ts

Wedding invitations set the mood for your guest’s experience. Sometimes, it can be overwhelming and confusing to successfully send out wedding invitations that do have any mistakes. In this blog, I will be explaining a few Do’ and Don’ts when it comes to wedding invites.

Do hire a Wedding Stationer. Having a professional create stationery that speaks to your design aesthetic is important. This is the best way to have your wedding invitations be authentic and true to who you are as a couple.

Here are a few of my Faves:

  2. Margo and Bees
  3. On three Designs

Don’t piece your wedding invitations suite by yourself. Trying to do this on your own can be incredibly stressful and time-consuming. It can be difficult to ensure that the wedding invitations design is complete and cohesive.

Do notify your guest in enough time. If you’re not having a destination wedding, 8 to 10 weeks is a great time to send invites out. If you have a destination wedding, you will want to allow more time.

Don’t wait until the last minute. You want to ensure that your guest can make proper accommodations to join you on your special day.

Do ensure that your wedding invites are clear & concise. For example, if the reception is at the same location, then you will put reception to follow. If its at a separate location, be sure to include that.

Don’t leave anything for your guests to wonder about. If you have a specific dress code, or you would prefer to have money for your honeymoon or a new house, then let your guests know.
